Bladder Cancer
Description
Bladder cancer occurs when cells in the bladder grow uncontrollably. The most common type is transitional cell carcinoma, which starts in the cells lining the bladder. Risk factors include smoking, exposure to chemicals, and a history of urinary tract infections or bladder inflammation. Symptoms include blood in the urine, frequent urination, and pain during urination. Diagnosis is typically made through cystoscopy and imaging. Treatment options include surgery, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy, depending on the stage and type of cancer.
