Transforming Lives Through Compassionate Care: Moses’ Experience

Transforming Lives Through Compassionate Care: Moses’ Experience
“It has been a tough journey. Since 2002, I have been on various types of medications,” shares Moses, a 50-year-old farmer from Mau-Narok.

Moses decided to take a ‘boda boda’ to get home early, but that’s when the unfortunate occurred—he was involved in an accident. That day, he injured his left leg, which was later confirmed at a local dispensary. Since then, he has relied on various prescriptions to manage his pain.

After years of following the same routine, Moses began experiencing pain in his right leg. Initially, it was manageable, but over time, it became a serious issue. “I started feeling pain from my knees all the way to my hip bone. I couldn’t walk,” he explains. “My leg became weak and slim.”

Six months went by with no improvement. As the problem intensified, Moses and his family realized they needed help. That’s when they decided to bring him to our facility. “I had heard about Kijabe from people around me who had been treated here. Its reputation for amazing services preceded it.”

On our assessment, Moses was informed that he needed a total hip replacement on his right leg. “When I was told I had to undergo surgery, many thoughts ran through my mind. But I knew I had to agree because of my condition,” he explains.

After the surgery, Moses felt immense relief and gratitude for the care he received. “The treatment I got here was amazing. I’m so glad I came,” he shares, a smile spreading across his face.

He specifically thanked Maurice, the physiotherapist, for taking the time to guide him through the exercises essential for his recovery. “I am so happy that I am no longer in pain, and for that, I will never forget,” Moses concludes, his voice filled with gratitude.
