Zoonotic Diseases
Description
Zoonotic diseases are diseases that can be transmitted from animals to humans. These diseases can be caused by bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi, and some common examples include rabies, salmonella, and Lyme disease. Zoonotic diseases can be spread through direct contact with animals, consumption of contaminated food or water, or insect vectors like ticks or mosquitoes. Preventing zoonotic diseases includes proper hygiene, vaccination of pets, and avoiding contact with sick animals. Some zoonotic diseases can be deadly or cause long-term health issues if not treated properly.
