Description
Ovarian cancer is a malignant tumor that develops in the ovaries, often diagnosed at later stages due to mild or vague early symptoms. Risk Factors include: Age (50+ years), Family history of ovarian/breast cancer, BRCA1/BRCA2 gene mutations, and Hormone replacement therapy. Symptoms include: Bloating and abdominal swelling, Pelvic pain and pressure, frequent urination, and unexplained weight loss and fatigue. Diagnosis involves ultrasound, CT scans, blood tests (CA-125), and biopsy. Treatment options include surgery, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and radiation. Early detection improves survival rates.
