Rotating in Kijabe, learning from our highly skilled clinicians and nurses and caring for our patients alongside them has been a transformative experience for many medical students, residents, and fellows in the past.
Kijabe provides a unique opportunity to provide clinical care and education in at a high level in an international setting. As you think about coming, know we expect your full participation clinically the entire time you are in Kijabe. Learners are encouraged to be in the hospital a minimum of three weeks to be able to adjust well and making a meaningful contribution to the team.

specialized care for patients 18 and under including PICU, NICU, hospital floor service, and follow-up outpatient and developmental clinics
Internal Medicine
Comprehensive medical care for adults, focusing on diagnosis, treatment, subspecialty consultation, and ICU services.
Family Medicine
Personalized healthcare for individuals and families, emphasizing preventive care and health maintenance through Outpatient Department and subspecialty clinics.
General Surgery
Comprehensive surgical services for a wide range of medical conditions and injuries.
Orthopedic Surgery
Specialized surgical care for musculoskeletal injuries and disorders, ensuring mobility and function.
Anesthesia
Work with our anesthesia team in a busy operating theatre setting for both routine and complex cases as well as preoperative assessments.
Obstetrics/Gynecology
Specialized care for women's reproductive health, including prenatal care, childbirth, and gynecological services.
Emergency Care
Rapid assessment and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries in emergency situations in our 10 bed Casualty working with our ECCCOs and PECCCOs
Plastic Surgery
Cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures to enhance appearance and improve function.
Pediatric Surgery
Surgical care for infants, children, and adolescents with congenital anomalies and acquired conditions.
